Starla's Candle Making Best Picks

My pick of the best places on the web to go to for candle, crafts, instructions and some fine "mom and pop" wholesale shops. In no way do I receive any money for the links, nor am I advertising for others. It is strictly what I like.

If you are looking for a crafty blog to read, you should check out GROOVY-MOM!
It's loaded with freebies, recipes, and crafts. I really liked the down to earth style of this blog. It is chalk full of information, new ideas, and new crafting ideas.

See her soaps and candles. Both have a great old retro hip look, I really like.

The candles and soaps have wonderful colors blended together. Very hip and groovy. Since the retro 70's look is one of my favorites, these candles and soaps had me thinking about younger days.

We are no longer able to give you our instructions for our cinnamon bun candles as a patent has been granted to someone else for making a cinnamon bun candle. The link for that patent is http://patft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph. The patented cinnamon bun instructions there had enough similarities to ours that we were forced to delete these instructions from our site. You can see how they make their candle from reading their patent and judge for yourself.

I find it hard to believe the government gave a patent on such an obvious candle making craft. Give me a break! I find it hard to believe that the owner of the patent would begrudge a school class, scout troop, church group, club, or homemaker a chance to make a simple craft like a cinnamon bun candle. Just my opinions.
