Mamma's Gift Baskets with Bears died on the vine, (I gave you the link on an earlier blog).....sometimes that happens with a new web site business venture. Mostly it seems to happen because the people are not really dedicated to their business or they just don't know how to run a business to begin with.

See you can't just put your product in any old thing and expect people to buy it. That is number 1 - packaging!!!

I can't stress the importance of packaging.

When I first started doing waxed dipped bears, I was telling all my customers what a great idea this was and how they sold like hot cakes. I had two customers who finally decided to make the bears.....short story, they did, but couldn't sell a one of the bears....why? They packaged their bears in baggies. And, they complained that the lady down the row at the craft show sold every one of her dipped bears! I ask them what the lady's down the row looked like....her's were packaged in the clear cellophane bags and tied up with a pretty ribbon.....go figure why hers sold. Did the two customers learn anything from this...no, they just didn't get it.

Let me tell you when people are spending their hard earned money, they don't want "ugly"...They want "pretty". They want to feel good, they want magic, Disneyland, stardust, romance, aroma, warm fuzzy feelings ............. all the good stuff in life.
And if your product can't give them that, then shame on you.

Why did Mama's Gift Baskets fail....bad photos, bad packaging, no dedication from the owner.

Don't think running your own business is easy, it ain't........you want easy, go work in a state run prison.

The Christmas Season is upon us and the time for ordering your candle supplies is here.

Don't be late, it takes time to make and ship the product.


The longer you wait the harder it will be for us to get your supplies to you on time.

We are shipping most items the next day, but we can't control U.P.S. or the United States Post Office, (which I don't like to use, they really do loose to many items).

The best selling product we have, at this time of the year is the pre scented waxes. I like to use 4 oz to 5lbs of wax. That way the scent should be perfect on the re-melt and cooled candle. Just what you are looking for in easy to use supplies. No measuring, no hassle, just a true melt and pour!

Candle scent is the main candle making ingredient, you know! The best part of the candle.
