Starla's Candle Making Best Picks

My pick of the best places on the web to go to for candle, crafts, instructions and some fine "mom and pop" wholesale shops. In no way do I receive any money for the links, nor am I advertising for others. It is strictly what I like.

Working on the photo's for the new advanced candle making instructions for the pie crust. No mold, all hand made. This is an awesome pie crust, had that golden brown coloring. Should have it up on the site this weekend sometime.
I'M thinking about putting up instructions for the easy caking candles. I am not sure that everyone knows how to cake a candle.
Sorry about the caps earlier.
New serp's are coming out for google data centers this week.
Blue Moon Candles should be back in the top 10 for most keywords....I must say, thank you google!
Good candlemaking to all of you!

Wow, has the candle making been busy lately! I just can't seem to get enough cake candles made.
It really isn't difficult to make a cake candle. After you have the base of your candle made and wicked, it is just a matter of letting some wax cool down till it starts to get that skim on top. That skim will be your grunge or cake look on the candle. The "look" of the candle will depend on the tools you use to apply the wax to the candle's base. A paint brush (I like an inch to an inch and a half wide paint brush), a butter knife, a paint scraper, or just running your candle base in the skim.
Change your colors from pastels to dark grungy colors will change the feel and look of the candle also.
You really have to experiment to get the feel of the wax and what it will do. No one is an expert for the get go. Try something new, you never know what you will come up with. It might make you rich beyond your wildest dreams..........

Good luck and good candling.
